Another thing to consider is Pellegrino is a highly respected independent appraisal firm. Poet management has to be damn confident that re-engaging them will result in a signficiantly higher valuation at this point in time. This re-valuation will be the foundation for future buyout/licensing discussions with commercial partners.

If Pellegrino comes in low, it will defeat the whole purpose of what management has been trying to acheive, namely signficantly and permanently increasing shareholder value. At the same time, obviously Poet will not be able to unduly influence Pellegrino's final valuation, so that speaks to a foundation of certainty.

So the fact they are going through this process again at such a critical juncture tells us a lot more about what is going on behind the scenes, then what has just been published in today's NR. The confidence level coming from Poet management seems to be increasing with every NR.
