Just thinking out loud here... Could Poet have seen the buying by anonymous and seen the accumulation as a possible threat to the majority of votes? Meaning could they have been worried about losing their majority say in the event of any hostile take over? Adding the 5 million shares to someone who is on their side could be more about protecting the company than adding money... I know very little about stocks and such and don't know all the numbers or what is allowable but just have yet to hear this idea on the board so I thought I'd share.
