terafly: "Just re-read this, Thks iamsorry! Simply amazing NR or no NR. Oogee to answer your question regarding rise to 85 cents and the 9 cent gain on good volume and pre-market bids of 89 cents before the PP NR came out, I think this might have been it!"
ORLY? Then why did the buying abruptly stop as a result of the PP announcement? If this was the reason then nothing has changed, and the buying should have continued regardless.
Of course it is possible that the buying only paused as a result of the PP, or the buyer got their fill (in which case the SP would have retreated anyway). A sophisticated long might wait for the price to drop to pick up more, in which case none of us should have had such a hemorrhage over the timing of the PP announcement. The terms of the PP could have been better, and I sympathize with those who think POET could have been more aggressive. I have to think there was some urgency to close the PP or POET would have let the PP subscribe over a longer time period with a higher price for the shares, with half warrants at a higher price, etc...
And as for the possibility for an NR, I think the barrier is still the UConn agreement. When they finish negotiating with UConn, they can ink a deal with BAE and announce it. Could you imagine i series of sub-licensing agreements following the BAE agreement?! That would make today's SP valuation meaningless.
