This is just a small correction on wording.

The company believes its chips “could easily be a $10-billion opportunity” if one or more Silicon Valley companies begin to develop devices made with them.

So as we can read, the company POET Technologies believes it could "easily be a $10-billion opportunity".

When they say "easily" I'm thinking that this $10-billions is the bottom line and no less, more than $10-billions, oh yeah.
