Here are two new patents, filed in july 2013 but issued on February 20, 2014. They may explain the delay in release.

Memory system designers have struggled for years and continue to struggle to find a solution that provide the density of dynamic random access memory (DRAM), the high speed operations of static random access memory (SRAM) along with the capability of backing up the volatile bit values of the memory system into a non-volatile form for ultra-low power modes and/or power supply failures.
Just a thought on the last NR. This is an awesome news, it is the first time an optical component of the POET platform is validated. And it was made in a industrial foundry! We have products in hands! I don't care if the market don't realize it right now or if it's pure manipulation. I got my shares in my pocket.
