I have hunted moose many years and we have plenty of black bears. I've only seen a few while hunting but you know they are around all the time and just stay out of your way. however my son and his working buddy while climbing poles and running fiber wasn't so lucky and got chased by one. I think they somehow got between a mother and her cubs.
