They could have priced the options way cheaper..that is why I'm saying good news..just another show of confidence.
No, they can't. The option price is the closing price of the shares on the tsx on the day they granted them. So the only way to make them cheaper is careful timing.
For that reason, I'm actually surprised the board deferred granting themselves options. We all expect the shares to climb so granting options in the future will not be as profitable. Then again, taking a look at insider reports, the board are well stocked with options at the moment.
However, it is indeed a show of confidence!
