I wouldn't be surprised if it's more just denial. Lots of people choose this approach if they don't understand something instead of saying they don't and for this, that and this reason they aren't investing. It's a knee jerk reaction to being overwhelmed.

I honestly believe if we were in a different field that was more easily understood, as well as having the same type of potential impact on a similarly sized market we would be SIGNIFICANTLY higher than we are right now. People don't like to invest in what they don't understand.
