yes, but Canadian markets are (not surprisingly) ... less rigged.
one example is the buy-side broker priority rule, which does not exist 'stateside.
(if a house has both sides of a trade, their SOR internalizes it before the algo bots can front-run it from a speedier parallel SIP)
another can be seen in the rules for setting a dark pool match (imo, cleaner: to go dark north of the 49th, the setup has to beat an existing NBBO).
