Turr, I think you hit the nail on the head. Our Canadian tongue in cheek or sarcastic sense of humour is not understood by some hence not appreciated. When FJ first broached the subject I burst out laughing because I thought it was so funny. Maing please do not take what FJ as a slight. Take it as a compliment.
