It is a good point that mcnabba raises about the increase of new posters to the forum.

In very broad brush terms I see two distinct phases to the Poet story so far which can be reflected by the nature and number of posts and posters on the forum.

Phase 1 – Pre March 2014

Poet was primarily engaged with technical milestone delivery, management restructuring and corporate finance.

Investors or potential investors doing DD, during this phase needed to understand what for many people are complicated topics, hence the number of posters were small and savvy to the areas of discussion.

Phase 2 – Post March 2014

Much of the previous phase has been completed, endorsed and the sp has rapidly risen as a consequence. This has grabbed people’s attention and a new pool of less experienced / novice investors (often friends and family) are being told about Poet and are keen to learn more and potentially invest.

Whilst there is no excuse for not reading around the subject and doing your own dd, many of these new pool, may simply not be used to looking at balance sheets or technical commentary on ICs and don’t understand their implications.

I have learned a great deal from the posts on this board – But as the tide is changing from R&D to commercialisation, I believe we can continue to gain new posters who will ask the “basic” questions and that we should support wherever possible. We will also hopefully gain people with expert knowledge in establishing legal partnerships, licencing etc.

I think the F&Q document is an excellent idea if those with the expert knowledge are prepared to contribute.
