I can only speak for myself - But I suspect like me there are a far larger number of people who read the board rather than contribute. You don't need to post to read the information given here.

In my case POET was the first share I bought on a tip from a friend - I knew little about investing in shares but had a small amount of spare cash, which could either earn little in a bank account so thought the risk worthwhile. That was 2011 with the price over a dollar. I didn't know this board existed then.

Having held my shares continually, it wasn't until last year that my interest in Poet has been rekindled and I have subsequently learned far more, done my dd and increased my holding. Predominately from this forum, for which I'm grateful.

Since then I see a trend of conversation having moved from the often highly technical nature of previous milestones to the more commercial aspirations of the product. I'm no techie and felt I had little to contribute then, hence why I never previously contributed.
