Hi Chris.
What you say is totally reasonable; however I feel the need to add to your worst case senario portion of your post in order to appease any unnecessary confusion :
Regarding mass production capability : POET has stated numerous times that POET is fully condusive / compatible with existing CMOS Silicon production fabs, requiring minimal / negligible retooling costs.
Regarding the "Brittle" aspect : Dr. Taylor was asked directly at the EC about the durability / robustness of POET. A member of the audience asked if he dropped his phone with POET inside would it be ok. Dr. Taylor's response was there are no concerns regarding robustness. In fact, by design, robustness is increased with POET due to the monolithic integration capability.
Regarding "too expensive" : The company has stated many times that POET has a much lower solution manufacturing cost, with some system costs being reduced by as much as circa 80%.
