Barney- Thanks for posting.
You are entitled to the way you feel. Maybe a few comments to possibly help.....
Do not get caught up on timing with POET.
-The timing provided in a POET NR are guidelines for completetion. POET is often "in and around" the time frame they state. Sometimes there are delays.
The reason: This is a complex and groundbreaking technology accomplishment. There are a lot of moving parts and complexities involved. Some of the largest companies in the world have been working on what might be the "the next thing" for decades, with billions invested in R+D, and they have not produced something what Geoff has done with his small lab group.
-Therefore, if the lab need a little extra time to finish an aspect or process, consider the above David and Goliath element (and the limited resources POET has at any one time).
I don't view the delay for the connect to be a major issue.
From what I can gather from reading, it is more about optimizing what appears to be a known process ie. It appears there are a series of 'connect' options POET could use and/or create to complete the final aspects of 100NM. Taylor is finalizing the optimized mix or combination of elements of the connect, to handle the heat/characteristics of the chip in GAas at 100nm, at load.
I take this as more as "perfecting the recipe of baking a cake" vs. not having bowl or an oven.
In additon a patent appears to be filed for a new connect. They may have the answer already, again - finalizing the process.
By POET providing 4-6 weeks time frame give us good indication the this is very close. If it took another 6 months, it would not change things for me. I'll wait. All the opportunity is still here.
POET or PET at sub 200NM is still a valuable technology that with worth $$. patent for laser, quantum computing, etc. etc.
This stock is derisked in that there is a lot of IP that is worth something even if 100nm did not happen. Note: I see 100NM not happening to be extremely unlikely.
Last- As for stock in the next 4-6 weeks. Those who are thinking of selling should be careful. The next NR could still happen at any time. Short term moves in SP don't concern me as much anyway...
Anyway- good luck.
