POET MADNESS - more levity

Dear Agoracom friends,
Anyone seeking to improve their ability to build an investment portfolio and has read any 'how to invest' book will know that a review of your portfolio is required periodically. In my case the period of review is daily; I think the investment advise books meant quarterly or monthly.
There are other rules, but I strongly suspect, that many here, like me, will have thrown the rule book away long ago. It would seem that many of us here are behaving in an illogical way about this particular investment and their 'portfolio' - What portfolio'do I hear you cry? 'I have only one investment; POET'.
I often ponder - why am I behaving in such a mad way? I don't normally bet even on the Grandnational. (an over the fences horse race at Aintree - google it). Yet here I am putting all my eggs into one basket and the eggs represent all the spare cash I can raise.
Am I Completely mad?
Review now means reading this board daily and taking comfort in the fact there are a lot of other mad people out there - 188 with 41,000,000 shares or so invested in POET. - yes yes, I know that some of you have some sense, but lets face we're all mad in some way. This madness emerges as tetchiness on the board, and high sensetivity to being contradicted or even sometimes even having an opinion at all, particularly if you're a newbie. The madness seems to emerge when things are quiet; no news, no reassuirng facts to grasp at, and we become animals snarling and threatening. Then, when we get good news, we're all galloping round the town shooting our pistols in the air, yipadeedooing, and booking our trips to Las Vegas. This is mad behaviour.
Why is this phenomena happening?
IMO, its because there is an enormous belief that POET represents a unique opportunity to invest in what is potentially a gamechanging disruptive technology, No one on this board has yet said anything, or revealed a danger that takes away the belief. People get nervous but the belief remains.
So to my mind when it comes to who's right or who's wrong about things here or presents weak evidence, I have to say does it really matter? We are all so deep in the mire and bogged in that to get to the shore we need each others help. So if all the mad people can hold hands and form a chain we may be able to pull ourselves out.
My simple conclusion is: that this board is just a very long therepy session , a group councelling for a lot of mad people.
with a pinch of salt and regards,
