I agree somewhat but the retail holders only represent about 25% of total shares. So, even if they all wanted to sell at the same time at any of those prices (very unlikely all would be on the same page), they would not sway an overall take-over vote if mgmt. decided to resist such takeover prices, and that's without using the poison-pill votes.
We have to believe mgmt. is in for the long haul (and the evidence thus far indicates such) and they will not entertain such low bids, or ...... we have to say Peter was blowing smoke at Dr. T's speech. Thus far, I believe Peter.
Therefore, some investors (retail, institutional, and mgmt.) may jump at $5 or $10, but we know they will lose in the long run. Because, if SP gets to $5 or $10 it will do so on 'real' news that likely involves revenue streams....and that, my friends, will just be the beginning.
Do I want a take-over? Not at those prices. Do I see a take-over ever happening? Yes, but the price will be off the hook!!!
