IMO it's quite obvious what his role will be. Similar to what he did with GlobalFoundries except on a different scale. He is the fixer or the guy that comes in and gets everything lines up then chooses a CEO he knows can take it to the next level. Similar to what he did with GlobalFoundries. Went in, got the ship steered and developed the base then handed it off to another heavy weight. He seems to know his role and does it exceptionally well.
