But I do have this nagging feeling that this appointment somehow means that POET was not as far along in licensing discussions as we all might have thought. We were led to believe that PET and 100nm was tied to a 3rd party. Well, we still haven't heard anything difinitive on that front, and by making this announcement today, I do wonder whether the company has come to the admission that they don't really have the pedigree of leadership to make the home run deals.

I'm not trying to be a wet blanket. Today is a good day. But that was the first thing that popped into my head.

With Sheldon's impending involvement, i also wonder how much say he had in the company's need to get a new face in with a higher industry profile.
