I don't think my initial thoughts were correct afterall. I'm coming around to some of these other theories. Ajit was probably lined up a long time ago. The MS8 confirmation made his appointment a slam dunk, now that PET provides an interim solution prior to the fully integrated chip.

My biggest curiosity is now when GlobalFoundries is officially announced as the fab partner, and what that agreement will look like. I would imagine though, that the groundwork will have been laid a long time ago, with Ajit on the other side, or in the middle of the discussions.
