There have been understandable worries about being taken out posted here. I think that risk has diminished as a result of this new appointment.

One thought that has meandered around the recesses of my brain in the past is the notion that anything that is termed a disrutive technolgy will have strategic implications for a country's industry. At what point does an industry become too important. We have had this in the UK with the recent bid for Astra Zenica the drugs giant, its too big FOR the UK to be bought out resulting in government intervention. Anjit Manocha was appointed by President Obama to an advanced manufacturing committee.The strategic implications of this are clear.

Listening to my hero Mr Fab at the NAS keynote speech, with the vision he demonstrates and the ear of the President USA Ajit Manocha will clearly undersand, having now been fully briefed by GT and PC, (was this brief the reason that PC was called back from his west coast conference) what the importance strategically of POET's onward development is to the Planet.
