And you are right -all shareholders would benefit by the larger pool -(with etfs and mutual funds required to buy in) - so larger sales could be absorbed with less price suppression(supply-demand equilibrium). Whether you're selling diamonds or snake-oil, you'll likely get a better price with a potential market of 1000 than 100.
