Well, Max, if a reverse split has the unwarranted consequences you are implying, then perhaps every public company in the world should do stock expanding splits (at least to the extent that the resultant split price doesn't disqualify them from a listing). I think it's fair to say if the reverse split will be bad, the positive split will be good. But, most companies don't do this, so why not?
Based on my perceived investment acumen of about 25% of the shareholders, though, I believe you may be right, as many of this 25% won't invest as much money in the post-split higher price, than the current price, not clear why, but that's the feeling I'm getting. I'm just hoping those without proper investment experience are just really, really hot stuff when it comes to analyzing POET's technology!
And don't forget, this is only a "POETential" split, not a done deal, just authorizes board to do it if it sees fit (we kinda figure they will, though - LOL).
