Remember the article Fairchij posted previously, referencing a meeting between Ajit and Tim Cook in 2013. (both Apple and Samsung are located in Austin, Texas.)

This is from the article that I posted in addition to his article.

"GlobalFoundries, which employs 2,000 people at its Fab 8 chip factory in Malta, courted Apple aggressively on becoming a second source for the company's A-series chips, currently made in Austin, Texas, by Samsung Electronics."
