I trade through RBC direct investing, can trade US stocks, just have to transfer money in to you US dollar account instead of your CDN account, It may take a day or part of a day, but can do. When sell the money goes into US part of account and then can transfer back into CDN dollars or leave there for the time being. Worked well for me when CDN dollar went down, made return on stock plus the change in currency rate on top (exchange rate calculated each day I beleive....
