Oogee,

I agree with you, a foundry would be the ideal partner and this was stated in multiples news release.

The SSC did set the table and I believe that there is much more partners involvment already undergoing than we have been informed to date.

POET Technologies – Special Strategic Committee Update
January 6th, 2014
  • A plan for establishing POET Development Alliances (PDA’s) – The Company is in discussion with several potential industry partners who have the necessary foundry infrastructure to take the POET technology to the manufacturing stage.

Do you really believe this is only BAE ?

  • The partnership roles encompass fab, tool and engineering resources as well as product and library development for future applications.
  • Ideal partners will be producers of products which can incorporate the POET IP technology to provide the lowest power consumption and cost-effective industry disruptive system solutions.

Which market would target first ? The mobile hand-held device ?

Drive for Reduction of Feature Size to 100-nm Range (100nm), Milestone #8

This highlights the importance of developing an alliance with a fab partner where repeating this milestone and improving it will be significantly easier with advanced lithography equipment standard for CMOS processing.

Drive for Feature Size to 100-nm Range (MS-8)
The 100-nm goal is matched to the state-of-the-art commercial III-V foundry capabilities

Technical Development Kits (TDK)
The Company is reporting that, with the help of select potential POET Development Alliance (PDA) partners, progress on this milestone is ahead of the schedule set by the former Special Strategic Committee.
Who are the select potential PDA partners that are helping POET with TDKs?

April 7th, 2014
POET/TDK
POET/TDK provides complete documentation for the entire catalog of active electronic and electro-optical devices currently supported by the POET process.

It comprises a comprehensive device parameter library, and enables potential customers and partners – including semiconductor foundries and device and library developers – to implement the POET process.

POET/TDK and associated information is shared only under non-disclosure agreements (NDA) with current and potential partners and customers for the express purpose of evaluation of and migration to the POET platform.

May 27th, 2014
He added, “While timelines have had to accommodate challenges in our drive to 100-nm, I am encouraged by the significant recent progress, especially in parallel with our PET/TDK achievements. Our potential partners and customers have noted this significant progress

POET Technologies Appoints Ajit Manocha as Executive Vice Chairman and Announces Other Board Updates

July 7th, 2014
No need to quote anything, he is the real deal, PC was probably refering to Ajit in his prior statement : " this has allowed me and my executive team to have very detailed discussions with them under non-disclosure agreements, many of them ongoing at this time."
