I wasn't referring to government funding per se, but moreso to their ability to block sales based on anti-trust concerns.
I don't believe governments have much power to stop a POET from becoming the next computing ideal, but when it comes to selling the company to a competitor, which diminishes competition, they get a little weird.
Especially when it's military technology.
But again, if we are that big to raise concerns of anti-trust, we're all island owners.
