My favourite comment from the Talk page of the wiki contesting the deletion:

"Anyone familiar with the underlying science can immediately recognize its importance.

If Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles (or Bowlin Travel Centers, Inc.) can have wiki entries, there is no reason to not let the POET entry be left in place.

It was a great effort to establish the page. I think a more measured effort should be made, as Rainer suggested. If we edit the contents, protected from deletion under his account, and refine it to project a polished view of the technology first and then the company as well, It would stand a much better chance of surviving as well as be a source of information to all those that will be in search of more information in the future.
