Of course it is, as any pre-revenue company would be, since there are always fearful investors that can be scared out of their shares.
What I found most interesting in reading tonight was the discussion of how disruptive this tech is and why secrecy is so vitally important (and contradictory in POET's case).
The reason I say contradictory is that POET needs a higher share price to get on the NASDAQ and clearly that will not happen unless there is something fairly significant announced. How are they going to do that without destroying the current silicon crap that will be on the store shelves?
It creates a rather large and difficult problem for a lot of companies, and reminds me of something Mrs. Shepherd said a while back about how there were going to be a lot of casualties in the demise of silicon.
The only example I can think of that even comes close is when air travel switched for props to jets in the 1950's, although this too happened over many years. However, there really isn't any aircraft sitting around waiting for a buyer; they are all bought and paid for on delivery.
Nevertheless, this is going to be a very tricky introduction and has to be planned perfectly to keep everyone happy, and that may not even be possible...
