Message: 40nm GaAs= 14/10nm Si? Where is the disruptive tech?

I am sorry but i thaught that PET chip will be 20 to 50 times faster at 100nm.

Now they are saying PET at 40nm which is not achived yet is just litlle faster than current 20nm In Si.

So we are still at 100nm and not confirmed by 3rd party fab.

And speed at 100nm is less than 3 GHz???

And what i understand from 2nd article is that first product in near term coming from POET is an optical interface chip, not the PET processor.

Confused again!

So technology is valid but not as great as what i belived!?

At least it looks like they are working on first product that will bring revenue and they are promoting POET.
