"Now there's a stretch on this board these days. Given the level of intelligence, paranoia and accessibility (like all people, the tech community does talk amongst themselves, especially at a function where there's a bar), it is inconceivable that at this point the Intel's, Samsungs and IBMs of the world do not know about the POET story. The corporate entities may be in full denial, but the scientific community knows and is likely all abuzz awaiting what comes next. "
Mack, I would love to buy into the above scenario, but what is inconceivable to me, is that huge companies know about this tech (and believe its value is even a fraction of what we here believe it to be), and the share price could be where it is, especially given the slide of the price over the last several months. Those type of secrets are not so well kept that highly placed employees, and others, would not have been buying POET in volume over the last several months, and that is very inconsistent with how the market has acted.
I can more easily believe that unless Ajit has now clued them in, these large companies know very little about POET and may have dismissed it out of hand, given the connections - tiny Canadian company, working out of a shop connected with UCONN - for Canadians, UCONN is not exactly MIT or Cal Tech, when we talk UCONN in the states, we think of great men's and women's basketball teams, not ground-breaking technology.
I think we remain under the radar, except to the extent Ajit has put us on some screens lately, or will be putting us on few soon enough. Ajit has credibility of a completely different sort than the rest of POET now enjoys or ever has enjoyed - if that ever changes, well, then we'll see some dramatice moves upward.
