Absolutey right! The exchanges can be battlefilds in the war of economies.
Some of the big guys are even betting against countries or currencies.

Your idea also came into my mind. If a giant competitor does not succeed to take over POET (due to high price or poisones pills) he could decide to destroy them. And this is for me the only and real big risc in this POET project.

The only way to survive could be to from strong alliances (I guess this is what AM is doing very actively), and possibly the cooperation with and protection by one of the big financial institutes like JPM, UBS or BNP.

In this respect we could also see the crossings of the last days - or month. No doubt that the management and/or SI arranged them to keep the shares in safe harbours.
