Rainer: POET Technologies resp. the POET technology is indeed to big and has way too many applications to be bought out by a single company. We don't want monopolies, do we? (Except our own.)
Perhaps a little clarification here. I think Rainer you are saying it is not in the best interests of the shareholders if we are to reap the potential value of all the applications of the technology for POET to be bought out by a single company, say Apple for instance?
There is no question that there are numerous companies with the capability of purchasing POET. The recent P2 valuation report only had the technology valued at $2 to $4 billion.
Many here speculate that the sum of its parts is worth significantly more but again it is only speculation.
Our ability as shareholders to reap those potential rewards thru licensing to many different applications would be mitigated or lost if POET was to be sold to a single entity.
