EileenTeahon: I doubt very much that Mr. Manocha and the PTK team will have any difficulty selling this story, this product. In fact, this story has promise to become the news and technology story of 2015. It will not only take the valley by storm, but also the industry and the general populace as well. Mr. Manocha's team building, share all, open source concept will lead to PTK being the de facto player in the space.

However, in order to stay grounded, I'd like to provide some balance: We should also consider that there will be resistance by those who don't want to be disrupted – with yet unknown effects. And there's also the question how fast foundries could ramp up a POET production and procure enough MBE systems for mass production. I don't doubt the story, but it will take its time.
