Very well put, oogee, but of course, POET fans are not the only ones that fall prey to that kind of mindset. I've seen that type of investing far too often (biotechs, mining, high tech, you name it), and it is the main reason why I post like I do. Not because I'm short, not at all, I'm long, but my eggs are in various baskets, although not nearly as diversified as I should be. When I read some posts, it certainly gives me the impression that there are quite a few with too many eggs in the POET basket. Taking a big risk for a big payday is fine with a part of one's portfolio, but always live to fight another day.

I still say if POET works 1/10 as well as many of the techies here think it will, the company and the share price will do great.
