Message: Is silence golden?

I'm sorry, but I have not had much to say lately as I watched the SP and my somewhat significant investment dollars dwindle over the last few months. However, I am intriguged by the silence of our Exec Vice Chair, but remember his very blunt but prophetic comment at the August AGM about naming names before the appropriate time.

I have noted previously just how much telegraphing the company has done in the past, with hindsight illustrating this fact. The announcement of collaborative efforts with Synopsys was written on the wall too. From the May 27th NR "Moving PET/TDK forward requires optimizing our process technologies and devices using computer-aided design (TCAD) simulation. Specific TCAD efforts focus on complementary hetero-structure field-effect transistors (HFETs) and bipolar transistors (HBTs). This design basis will support complementary HFET (CHFET), bi-CHFET, bipolar and thyristor device fabrication." Enter Synopsys name noted publically on September 2. (as a side note, a current advisor to our Board, Geoff Rogers, was previously with Synopsys!).

Then take the second September 2 NR stating collaboration with a "3rd Party foundry." Here is a comment from the company's July 8 NR. "Mr. Peter Copetti, Executive Chairman and interim CEO, noted, “We are extremely proud of how far our team has come. We are now at a point where the capabilities of a third-party foundry are required for practical demonstration, as well as subsequent third-party validation. We look forward to proceeding on this basis.” No name but a good telegraph just the same - two months prior to the announcement of early Sept.

Yet some here have asked "what of the prototypes noted in antiquated NR's that were to be ready in late 2013.....a year ago?" Plus, where the heck is the naming of the partner that was supposed to be on board after we hit the 100nm milestone? Let me take a stab at the answer utilizing the recent Oct 22 NR. "The Company is focused on delivering to its potential customers the technology nodes that will enable them to leapfrog their competition." Could it be they are playing cards close to their chests to ensure any new partner will realize this noted dramatic "leapfrog" with unprecedented speed? Could it be the 100nm ensured the move to the 3rd party fab, and the 40nm enables the leapfrog the customer (and we) desires for maximum market impact?

Telegraphing the desire to hit the big board in the U.S. is well know with the filing of the 20-F and the possible reverse split.

Now look at the recent bold move to tell all about an office in the Valley.

Combine that with the old news of Manocha joining, NDA's being signed, lunch with the Googlelites, and NRE revenues still in the forecast - remembering that other revenues (despite the possible delay with the NRE revenues) may flow from the mililtary at any time.

More telgraphs? You be the judge. Silence may be golden after all, and the naming of names will hopefully come at a very opportune time. Carry on with executing your plan gentlemen. Thanks for the heads up!
