Jrv1: When can we expect revenue from PTK. Do we have to wait till the end of all the milestones? From the corporate-presentation, it shows that there are things until end of 2015. Is it wise to expect anything prior to get the last item on the presentation?

Sure. The latest news release says:

  • The Company is anticipating delivery of the 40-nm PET Process Design Kits (PDKs) by the end of the year.

What do you think who is deliving the PDKs? And to whom? Synopsys to POET Technologies? No, read the next sentence:

  • The Company is using Synopsys TCAD tools and services to develop the PET and POET PDKs.

So the company itself is developing the PDKs. Consequently they are delivering them. But to whom? Let's read on:

  • PDKs are used by 3rd party chip developers to create IP libraries that would be used to implement System on Chip (SoC) integrated circuits.

Ah, 3rd party chip developers need the PDKs! And although the news release doesn't explicitly state it, I am making a logical step and assume that the PET PDK will be delivered to those 3rd party chip developers.

And I am making still another assumption and suspect those 3rd party chip developers won't get the PDK for free …
