This seems to be HP's answer to what POET is trying to achieve - orders of magnitude faster speed and orders of magnitude less power consumption - extending Moore's law?
I am tech ignorant, but here is a mutlibillion dollar company, investing millions into their next big thing, with a stable full of engineers to compete with the eight (talented) scientists atUConn - with an internal market for their chip once it's developed.
Even if POET beats them to a mass produceable product by a year or two, given your marketing background, do you really think HP will let it happen(think who killed the electric car, betamax vs VHS, etc.)
