For me the most revealing statement of the NR is that made by Dr Peralta
"I'm proud of being a part of the team that progressed POET operationally, financially, and technically to the point it is now. I have no doubt that, following the strategy we've put in place, POET will see continued success at the forefront of the next revolution in the semiconductor industry."
As FJ has already pointed out, in the bad old OPEL days Dr Peralta returned to the company to stand up for us, the small sharehoders, and for Dr Taylor and the technology he had developed. He had a clear moral compass, a demonstrated commitment and the tenacity to move the company forward. I am certain that he would not leave or make the above statement unless he was quite clear that this project has the wings necessary to fly.
We are beyond development. We have a product with a broad market out there eager for the solution to a real problem. We now have the management to drive commercialisation and moneterisation to our benefit as sharehoders. The new CEO is already lined up and the AMD link with Ajit Monacha at GF is too fresh in AM's mind to ignore RR as a real candidate. Rory is my therefore my bet.CEO, the timing looks to probable.
Additionally, for me the division of responsibilities between the two Co-chairmen makes complete sence. Its both logical and practical, from my experience in IT projects to divide the roll of Technical Develpment from Business Management, ala the PRINCE methodology of project management.
Finally, the disconnect between SP and news will only change when POET has a NASDAQ listing. In the mean time tell your friends and family that the bargain basement the POET represents at present will last another month. Once the CEO is announced the heads of even the most cautious tech investment fund will be raised by that event, which should be quickly followed by revenue news and partnership annoucement this ship will then fly on rocket fuel.
