$100k or not – this won't be the largest amount we'd have to pay for the new CEO. He or she will want to receive not only options but also a monthly pay check. And I doubt the new CEO will stick to a humble half million $$$ per year, like Ajit Manocha does, and would rather assume the salary would have to be a couple of millions.

If a) my assumptions are correct and if b) the POET board wants to hire such an expensive guy in early 2015 nevertheless, then this is a strong indication that they expect considerable income, and not only in late in the year.
