Somebody once said:

We are talking about “planar opto-electronic technology (“POET”) platform for monolithic fabrication of integrated circuit devices containing both electronic and optical elements on a single semiconductor wafer”. Do you know what that means? I don’t know what that means.

I mean, I know what it implies, but if were to have to explain the scientific intricacies of the implication, I would be thus revealed a layperson at best when it comes to the arcane esoteric language of electronic chip architecture.
