Rainer and Wounded I agree too.

The preoccupation with Sheldon is understandable given his large investment and the effect that might have, but like you, I feel this is the short view. The long view is that POET will become the disruptive technology that we believe it is capable of being, which will send the SP into the Teahon Legacy Cloud.

The fact is that at some point in the future, we as shareholders will all have to determine our own exit strategies. The Sheldon effect is just one of the many out of our control influences on the vagaries of the POET SP. Another I often wonder about is what if the SP hits $70, would there then be a sudden exit for the doors as the $70 dollar club all head for Las Vegas with their fortunes made; whateffect would that have on SP?

It’s very curious situation for me to have consider and learn how to deal with the real prospect of becoming POET wealthy; I'm thinking about things like Death Duties; a tax we have on families inheriting, which requires inheritance planning to mitigate the effects. My greed has already had me looking at Aston Martins, the only British Sports car worth havingIMO. The Key focus is on Sula 2 (a Dragonfly 32) which unfortunately has priority after SWAMBO's new house.

The problem I and Sheldon have is the same; working out how to benefit from the proceeds of POET without missing out on growth, this happy position currently has me rather perplexed, as POET success creates the situation of being asset rich but cash poor, a pleasant situation to be in of course. One solution to this interesting dilemma is to do what Sheldon does; to borrow on the strength of a rising asset value. We do this all the time with our houses, but using an investment in a Venture Capital Company takes the concept of leverage to a different level. No Sheldon is a risk taker yes, but then this is where his strengths and where his experience lies. Are we not all risk takers like Sheldon?

My view is that his value to this board is, as FJ points out, as a harbinger of news; his ear to the ground can pick up signals we cannot. We must watch and observe. I think the bells that he may be hearing are ringing for us too.
