Apple uses different chips for different grade phones. Example 5c has a poor processor in comparison to the 5s. So perhaps when Poet has their ground breaking tech in a working prototype to sell to Apple, the chips they committed to with another company will end up in the lamer weaker version. Poet will be placed in their highend version as a means to self compete with its own product. Example being you can still have an iPhone at a much cheaper price but it's a little slower and far more power hungry or you can have the new and improved future of handset devices that is faster and you only have to charge it once a week. Can you say game changer? And of course they will never go back to SI based chips, gallium arsenide will be the new standard. That's just an example in the phone market, I think we have just a few more options with this tech:).
