Someone on the Board a number of months back mentioned Bob Mansfield of Apple (On July 28, 2013, roughly 9 months after Mansfield's appointment to Senior Vice President of Technologies, Mansfield's biography was removed from Apple's executive profiles webpage. It was subsequently confirmed by Apple that Mansfield was no longer a part of the executive team, but would "continue to work on special projects under CEO Tim Cook.) I was previously of the view that given he was working on the iWatch and Apple TV that his secret project might have also included POET as far back as July 2013. That MIGHT have been enough time to get the new chip inside the iWatch assuming that the above guess is correct. Tight but very remotely possible if they had had a good early start at it.. Apple does need some kind of breakthru on power use in all its products but for sure on the iWatch. Main reason I don'tr think this is likely is that Apple wouldn't want another fail like the one on saphire where they were relying on untested products that didn't meet quality and timing standards.
