Is Intel getting worried about POET?

I found this article to be interesting because it talks of "opto-electric chips" being the next revolution in the semiconductor industry and knowing what I know about POET, but this author seems to really try to sell his audience on silicon chips and Intel. There seems to be an urgency in his message. IMO.
