Nice post , Scary; also, a P/E ratio is not too important for a company like POET at the time it first reports a profit. NRE revenue will not be given nearly the weight by investors that recurring earnings are given for the purposes of P/E.

POET is now valued, and when revenue starts to flow will be valued, on speculation as to its future. If POET becomes known widely (which it will if what we heard from London comes to pass), then all sorts of investors will want in. At that relatively early stage, earnings will not be an important metric for our share price. Hype and potential will be in the driver's seat at that point, which is a very good place to be. Not unlike many high-flying high tech stocks.
