I have felt all along that the SSC's recommendation to pursue licensing was strategic. I think the company misread the understanding and appetite for what they had 2 years ago, when "liquidity event" was getting used.

But to me, this licensing pathway was the lure to catching the big fish, and having the leverage to ask for premium dollars.

Think about what's happened since the SSC...Ajit's hire, 3rd party foundries, they were setting up the building blocks to go long term. But that's EXACTLY what mega caps can not allow to have happen with disruptive technology.

This was an ingenious strategy, which will work out one way or another. Either, the whale comes in and says "enough is enough" BIG buyout. Or the company carries on down the path to sales and royalties. But you can't get that "40 billion dollar" price tag without going through the process they're in.

I for one, would love the big buyout becuase it takes all the pressure off the investor to decide when to pull out. That decision is made for us.
