"You can't tell me that Intel doesn't know about POET and Silicon is not going away over night it will still be used and because not all chips will require POET's tech."

No one in their right mind thinks that silicon will ever be fully obsolete. Just like GaAs is a small part of the industry now, silicon may very well be forced to a similar position in the future.
