In a recent post by Pumpkin10 regarding RS, an interesting point was raised, albeit, indirectly.

I have noticed that some threads often continue under the same subject line in spite of wandering significantly from that particular subject. The "RS or no RS" thread is an example of this. I'm curious why people don't simply start a new subject, relevant to the discussion. Is there a way the hub leaders can keep an eye on this?

Patiently waiting from the "painful period of labour" (to quote Sulasailor).
