By all means, buy what you can prudently afford, but remember, the transcript that you cite as having inspired you was taken from a presentation designed to enourage attendees to invest as heavily as possible. Using many here as barometers, certainly including you, the sales presentation was very well received.

We are certainly getting down to the wire (no, not March 31, but around then, perhaps by end of April or so) on the ring oscillator and the 50 GHz VCSEL, and within a fairly reasonable time, we will know how things turned out. Whether or not a rally in the stock will accompany that news, I don't know, but certainly, a lot more confidence will be spawned, along with gathering industry respect. Will it be enough for Joel to dig a little deeper? One would think so.

And don't forget, what POET is doing must be really difficult (otherwise, it would have already been done), so if the first report on these milestones is that they need to work out a kink or two, that would not be suprising - to me, anyway.

From what I understand from this board, the ring oscillator and the 50 GHz VCSEL are big time important, so a bit of leeway on the company's time guideline is not something to be upset about.
