I haven't read the board for days, so sorry if I've missed this (I'll delete my post if it has already been considered), but could this not be Pinetree selling their shares?

This would be the best case scenario because Pinetree is at arm's length (even more so with Shelly no longer leading the company), and because there is plenty of explanation why they would want to take profits at this time.

If it is Pinetree, then there is not indiscretion within POET and no indication that there has been any kind of setback.
